| About the Arlington Rose FoundationObjectives:Our mission is to provide support to the Bon Air Memorial Gardens and education on rose culture to the public. We are a not-for-profit organization serving Northern Virginia, Southern Maryland and Washington, DC. Benefits of membership include: v  Capital Newsletter- Every other month, we cover garden tips, insights and upcoming events. Is sent via e-mail, so please be sure we have your e-mail address. v  Country Store- Fertilizers, insect and disease control products, an array of pruners and other products are sold at near wholesale prices. v  Expert speakers-   Programs by expert speakers are presented on topics ranging from fertilization to photography. These seminars are generally held at Merrifield Garden Center, Fair Oaks location. v  Garden tours- Fun events are organized and hosted for your enjoyment. v  Volunteer events- Members learn and grow their rose skills by partnering with experts at various events to sell roses.   v  Charity events-   Public education on rose culture is provided to benefit the charitable garden guilds at the Franciscan Monastery and National Cathedral in DC. v  Spring Rose Show- Showcase your beautiful blooms and photography for awards and public viewing! v  Affiliation with American Rose Society- As a new member, you will receive a 4 month trial membership, which entitles you to two copies of nationally acclaimed ARS magazine and free admission for certain gardens nationwide. v  Rose garden consultation- Receive individual attention by inviting a Consulting Rosarian, rose expert, for garden-side advice. v  Shared interests- Enjoy the company of other rose growers! Meetings:Frequency: Monthly except January, June, & AugustDate: Normally on the second Monday evening (7:30 p.m.) OR the preceding Sunday afternoon (2:00 p.m.).
